On November 4, 2025, around 5:15 p.m. ET, a cargo aircraft operated by UPS Airlines departed from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky, bound for Honolulu. During take‑off, the plane’s left wing caught fire and an engine detached, as confirmed by investigators. The aircraft then crashed into an industrial area just off the runway, erupting into a massive fire and leaving a debris field stretching for half a mile.
